Thousands of NYS teens have reached out to the Crisis Text Line – it’s free, anonymous, available 24/7 and most importantly – it’s for everyone. Crisis Text Line is free, 24/7 support for those in crisis. Text 741741 from anywhere in the US to text with a trained Crisis Counselor. Crisis Text Line trains volunteers to support people in crisis. With over 100 million messages processed to date, we're growing quickly, but so is the need.

 

Suicide Prevention Lifeline: 1-800-273-TALK(8255)

The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline is a national network of local crisis centers that provides free and confidential emotional support to people in suicidal crisis or emotional distress 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We're committed to improving crisis services and advancing suicide prevention by empowering individuals, advancing professional best practices, and building awareness.

Located in Binghamton, NY, you can call CPEP any time of the day or night for professional and confidential psychiatric advice. The 24-hour crisis service is staffed by highly-trained psychiatric nurses, social workers and paraprofessionals under the direction of a medical director/psychiatrist. All calls are free and confidential.

 

The Trevor Project

The Trevor Project is the leading national organization providing crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer & questioning youth. Text: START to 678678. Call 1-866-488-7386.
