The SAT and ACT are two separate exams that serve the same purpose.  They are college entrance exams, and many colleges and universities require students to submit scores from one of the exams as part of their college application.  Not all schools require scores, but since so many do it is important to take the SAT or ACT at least once to keep your options open.

We encourage students to prepare for these exams prior to taking them.  There are many great, free resources out there to help you.  Method Test Prep (MTP), is an online program that provides preparation for the SAT and ACT.  Every student has access to MTP through their Castle Learning account.    Khan Academy is another online program that supports students with the SAT.
