Three Spencer-Van Etten High School students were recently inducted into the GST BOCES chapter of the National Technical Honor Society.
Kenric Beach, Lauren Gillette and Kaylee Kastenhuber were recognized during an induction ceremony held Wednesday evening. In addition to being inducted, Kastenhuber was installed as the chapter treasurer.
The National Technical Honor Society recognizes students enrolled in career and technical education programs who demonstrate academic achievement, leadership and commitment to their chosen field. The organization promotes excellence in workforce development and encourages students to pursue continued success in technical careers.
District officials congratulated the students on their accomplishment and noted the importance of career and technical education opportunities in preparing students for college and the workforce.
