Community members are invited to attend Community Wellness Day from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, June 6, at Nichols Park.
The event is designed to bring residents together for a fun and relaxing day focused on connection, creativity and well-being. Activities will be available for all ages and will encourage participants to explore wellness resources, enjoy nature and engage with local organizations.
Planned activities include rock painting, opportunities to meet alpacas, a guided walking tour of Nichols Park, visits to the SISU Sanctuary Community Connection Garden, shopping at the Farmers Market and exploring the Book Mobile. Community tables and resource providers will also be available throughout the event.
Organizers say the event aims to promote mental wellness, self-care and meaningful community connections while providing a welcoming environment for families.
A limited number of free copies of The Anxious Generation will be available to attendees while supplies last.
Community Wellness Day is sponsored by Mental Health Heroes and is open to the public. Families and community members are encouraged to attend and take part in the variety of activities and experiences available throughout the afternoon.
