Preparedness Kit

As severe weather events become more frequent and more extreme, it is more important than ever for New Yorkers to be prepared for disasters.

Spencer-Van Etten Central School District will host the New York State Citizen Preparedness Training Program on January 14, 2023, from 1-3 pm in the High School Auditorium.

This training, brought to the community by New York State Citizen Preparedness Corps and Tioga County Emergency Services, will help residents be sure they have the tools and resources needed to prepare for any disaster (natural or man-made), respond accordingly and recover as quickly as possible to pre-disaster conditions. Participants will be introduced to disaster response and will be advised on the proper steps to prepare for any disaster such as developing a family emergency plan and stocking up on appropriate emergency supplies.

Each family in attendance will receive one preparedness kit.

ALL participants MUST register in advance. Visit www.prepare.ny.gov for additional information and to register.
