Park Station Field Trip

Spencer-Van Etten sixth grade students took a field trip to Park Station on May 20 to participate in outdoor, hands-on learning experiences focused on environmental conservation.

Throughout the day, students rotated through several activity stations that introduced key environmental concepts and practices. The interactive sessions were designed to teach students about the importance of protecting natural resources, understanding local ecosystems and promoting sustainable habits.

The field trip offered students an opportunity to apply what they’ve learned in the classroom to a real-world setting. Learning outside of the traditional classroom helps reinforce key science standards while fostering curiosity, collaboration and environmental responsibility.

Experiences like this field trip support the district’s commitment to well-rounded education and encourage students to engage actively with the world around them.
