Spencer-Van Etten Middle School concluded its seventh annual Fill the Bus clothing recycling drive on Tuesday, with textile collections being picked up by the hauler. Students assisted in loading a large quantity of recyclable textiles collected from the community onto a box truck for repurposing.
The drive aims to promote sustainability by diverting clothing waste from landfills. The school district anticipates receiving a final report detailing the total tonnage collected from its recycling partner in the coming weeks.
