Spencer-Van Etten’s wrestling program continues to make history as two student-athletes secure spots in the upcoming state championships.
Tayah Beach successfully defended her Section IV title this past weekend, becoming a back-to-back sectional champion in the 120-pound weight class. She is now headed to Albany to compete for a state title. Tayah is the first two-time sectional champion in Spencer-Van Etten history.
Dallas Bohling also delivered an impressive performance, earning second place in the 114-pound weight class at sectionals. With this achievement, Dallas has also qualified for the state championships and will join Tayah in Albany on Feb. 27.
Congratulations to all SVEC girls’ wrestlers on a strong season. The district looks forward to supporting Tayah and Dallas as they represent SVEC on the state stage.
