The Spencer-Van Etten Central School District Skeleton Crew Drone Soccer Team placed second Saturday at the GST BOCES District II Qualifier, earning advancement to the State Level Championships in March.
The team scored 336 goals across six games during the competition. S-VE defeated Bath-Haverling, a team that had handed Skeleton Crew multiple losses during the 2024 season.
Skeleton Crew also faced Owego in the championship match. The contest remained close through the final moments, prompting officials to review the livestream to determine whether a last-second goal had been scored.
By finishing second overall, Skeleton Crew qualified for the state-level competition later this spring.
