Athletic Update

Our Varsity SVEC Football team is headed to Johnson City on November 5, to go head-to-head with #1 ranked Tioga for the Section IV Class D Semi-Finals at Johnson City for a 4:00 PM game. 

SVEC Boys Soccer sectional finals match at Fayetteville-Manlius will be in Syracuse on Saturday, November 5 at 1:30 pm!

Congratulations to the Varsity Girls Cross Country team for winning the IAC championship this past Friday in Marathon! The girls were led by Ashley Ellison, Gwen Shaw, Olivia Secondo, Kirsten Garrison, Isabella Matisco, Kristen Baker, and Ayasha Schweiger, who finished fourth overall. Kristin and Isabella are 2nd team IAC all-stars, and Ayasha is a first team IAC all-star. Congrats to the Varsity boys for placing 2nd overall at IACs! The boys team was lead by James Kane, Wyatt Stouffer, Edward Rixford, Matt Fitch, Brian Belanger, Nathan Gillette, and John Garrison, who finished 2nd overall. Matt, Brian, and Nathan are 2nd team IAC all-stars and John is a 1st team IAC all-star. Honorable mentions go to Kenric Beach, Luca Romans, Kamren Westbrook, Jayden Stone, Anthony Peters, Kaylee-May Davidson, Izabel Campbell, Calli Marsh, and Grace Bishop for all being top JV finishers! The Eagles travel to Chenango Valley state park November 3 for sectionals!

The Spencer- Van Etten Varsity Volleyball lost in the quarter sectional finals Nov 1 to Deposit- Hancock 3-0. Congratulations on this season's accomplishments. Your regular season record was 10-6 placing 2nd in small school south division and seeded 5th overall in Section IV.  Congratulations to Lilyanah Doolittle who now holds the career record of 35 blocks that was held by Tara Perkins in 2019. Congratulations to Marah Cooper who now holds the career records with 138 service aces,  284 digs, 260 kills, and a single game record of 13 aces.   Good job Panthers!
