• S-VE will increase awareness, interest and involvement by encouraging collaborative efforts to develop school spirit and community pride.

• S-VE will cultivate creative, problem solving and future ready citizens through rich experiences and positive relationships.

• S-VE will invest in and support social-emotional well-being, academic growth and community through meaningful connections.

2023-2024 SVE Middle School Building Goals:

Well- Rounded Students

·         Students at SVE middle school may earn at least one credit toward graduation by the time they begin high school.

·         All students will participate in a weekly advisory period that focuses on social emotional learning, academics, and behavioral expectations.

·         Expose students at all levels to a variety of potential careers. This will be accomplished through MS Career Day and visits from high school students or past graduates.

·         Hold a Career/College Readiness week. (March)

·         Staff will update maps in the MS cafeteria indicating where they obtained degrees.

The Student Experience

·         PBIS Marking Period Goals: Limit the number of office managed referrals for disrespect and insubordination to 30 or less.

·         Each marking period students will earn 4,000 plus RESPECT XP clicks in Classcraft to unlock end of year carnival incentives.

·         Middle School Honor Society and Student Council members will be involved with PBIS decision making during the 2023/2024 school year.

·         The middle school staff will continually analyze individual student academic, social emotional and behavioral data to drive instruction and intervention using the MTSS model.

Community Connections 

·         50% of families will attend one or more community events held at the middle school during the 23/24 school year.

·         MS Principal will hold two community forums during the 2023/2024 school year

·         A PTO group will be created during the 2023/2024 school year

·         Family Game Night

·         Science Fair

·         Open House

·         Students enrolled in Civics class will complete a capstone project which focuses on local community action.

·         The SVE MS will hold a back-to-school fair in August 2024. The staff will plan this event during the 2023/2024 school year.

·         Middle School staff will reach out to the SVE Alumni Association for collaboration on potential opportunities

for students.
