Williams Endowment

The Spencer-Van Etten Alumni Association recently announced a $50,000 gift from Williams Construction and Spray Foam, LLC. This generous gift will endow an annual $2,000 scholarship award to a Spencer-Van Etten graduating senior furthering their education in the construction trades and engineering fields.

Williams Construction President, Dan Williams, a 1992 graduate of the Spencer-Van Etten Central School District, has made this transformative gift in loving memory of his mother and long-time Spencer resident, Lillian Williams. Williams says, “I am excited to honor my mom and encourage Spencer-Van Etten graduates to further their education and careers in the field that has been so good to me. The construction industry and the trades were important to my mom and I am very happy that she encouraged me to follow my dreams. She was and still is the biggest influence on my success. To think she can help others to pursue their dreams makes me happy.”

SVEAA President Dan Bryan ’69 notes, “We are extremely grateful to Dan Williams for this remarkable gift. We also deeply appreciate all of the organizations and individuals who, through their generous support, make it possible for a growing number of Spencer-Van Etten students to benefit from scholarships offered through the SVEAA.
