Superintendent Barbara J. Case partnered with GST BOCES representatives to highlight Spencer-Van Etten Central School District’s participation in the Drone Soccer League during the Fall Leadership Summit, hosted by the New York State Council of School Superintendents.
Case was joined by Heidi Van Woert, Supervisor of Innovative Solutions at GST BOCES, and James Briggs, Instructional Technology Specialist at GST BOCES. Together, they presented on the integration of drone soccer into student learning and extracurricular programming.
The Drone Soccer League is a collaborative effort across GST BOCES districts that introduces students to emerging technology and teamwork through competitive play. The program connects classroom learning with skills in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
S-VE students will continue participating in the league this school year alongside their peers from other districts.
