Spencer-Van Etten Central School District recognized School Resource Officer Appreciation Day on Sunday, honoring the district’s School Resource Officer for their service and commitment to the school community.
SROs play an important role in maintaining a safe learning environment while also building positive relationships with students and staff. In addition to supporting school safety, they serve as mentors and trusted adults for students across the district.
Superintendent Patrick Patterson said the district values the partnership between the school community and local law enforcement.
“Our School Resource Officer is an important part of our district,” Patterson said. “They work closely with students and staff each day and help foster a safe, supportive environment for learning.”
The district extends its appreciation to its SROs for their continued dedication to Spencer-Van Etten schools.
