Spencer-Van Etten Central School District staff members participated in Emergency Response Team training during a recent district conference day.
The training included mock emergency scenarios designed to strengthen preparedness and response skills. Staff worked through situations involving lacerations, head injuries and cardiac arrest.
The hands-on exercises focused on reinforcing teamwork, communication and appropriate emergency response procedures. District leaders said opportunities such as conference day training help ensure staff members are prepared to respond effectively in a variety of situations.
The district continues to prioritize safety planning and ongoing professional development to support a safe learning environment for students and staff.
