Students in the Intro to Agriculture course at Spencer-Van Etten Central School District designed and built birdhouses as part of a hands-on learning project this spring.
Before beginning construction, students learned about tools and shop safety. They then applied those skills to plan, design and assemble their own birdhouses.
The project provided students with an opportunity to develop practical skills while working collaboratively. Students demonstrated creativity and attention to detail throughout the building process.
After completing the project, students took their birdhouses home and will monitor them throughout the spring season.
