Three student-athletes from the Spencer-Van Etten Central School District will continue their academic and athletic careers at the collegiate level following graduation.
Tayah Beach signed to attend McDaniel College, where she will compete in girls wrestling.
Beach completed an accomplished wrestling career at S-VE that included:
Three-time IAC champion
Three-time Section IV champion
Three-time state qualifier
Two-time state place finisher, placing fourth in 2025 and fifth in 2026
Fargo national qualifier
Southern Tier Memorial champion
Lauren Gillette signed to attend Marywood University, where she will compete in girls golf.
Gillette participated in volleyball, basketball and golf during her time at S-VE. Her accomplishments included:
Qualifying for the state golf tournament as a freshman
Three-time IAC all-star in volleyball
Two-time IAC all-star in basketball
Kaylee Kastenhuber signed to attend SUNY Oneonta, where she will compete in track and field.
Kastenhuber was a three-sport athlete in field hockey, basketball, and track and field. Her accomplishments included:
Two-time IAC all-star in field hockey
Two-time IAC all-star in basketball
Individual and team IAC champion in track and field
Competed at the Section IV state qualifier
“We are incredibly proud of Tayah, Lauren and Kaylee for the dedication and commitment they have shown throughout their time at S-VE,” Superintendent Patrick Patterson said. “Their accomplishments are a reflection of the hard work they have put into their academics and athletics, and we are excited to see them continue to succeed at the collegiate level.”
