Spencer-Van Etten High School FFA members recently celebrated a successful year during the chapter’s annual awards ceremony, recognizing student accomplishments, leadership development and community support.
During the event, students presented the FFA Opening Ceremonies before an audience that included district administrators, Board of Education members, families and community supporters. Members were recognized for earning Greenhand, Chapter and Empire Degrees, as well as their leadership growth and participation in state-level FFA activities throughout the year.
The chapter also honored several individuals for their continued support of Agricultural Education and FFA programs. Recognition was given to Cub Frisbee of the Tioga County Farm Bureau and Rick Rogers for their contributions to student opportunities, internships, FFA jackets, hoop house projects and other program initiatives.
FFA members and advisors also thanked Superintendent Patrick Patterson and Dr. Countermine for their support of the district’s growing Agricultural Education program and its first-year agriculture teachers.
The ceremony included recognition of graduating member Olyvia Swimelar, who officially retired her FFA jacket as she prepares for her next chapter following graduation.
The evening concluded with the announcement of the 2026-27 FFA Officer Team, who will help lead the chapter during the upcoming school year.
The annual ceremony served as an opportunity to celebrate the accomplishments of current members while recognizing the families, community partners and district leaders who continue to support the success of the Spencer-Van Etten FFA program.
